“I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago. I will meditate on all your works and consider all your mighty deeds.”
Psalm 77: 11-12
It is a time to celebrate those first fruits. It is time to remember God’s presence in the creation and growth of Bethlehem and our mission. It is time to recall the highlights of Bethlehem’s ministry as we have belonged to Christ and have shared Christ on the North Shore and beyond for these 125 years.
On Sep 22nd we are having a 125th anniversary celebration. We want to invite you and your members to celebrate with Bethlehem. Your presence is welcome for all or part of this day. Worship begins that day at 10:00am with Pastor Calvin Konop presiding. Following worship in the fellowship hall around 11:15am, we will have a slideshow and a Scandinavian meal including Swedish meatballs, home style mashed potatoes, roast carrots, lingonberries, house salad, cranberry cake, coffee, milk, and an assortment of drinks. A short program will begin about 12:00 noon. After the program, there will be ample time for fellowship.
We will be giving tickets to this event on Sunday mornings before and after worship – or you can get tickets through the office during the week. We are asking for a donation per ticket of $20/person, though you can certainly get tickets for free. This will help us and the caterer with final numbers.
Please come and celebrate with us as we look back at 125 years and look forward to what is next. I am not sure just what path God may have planned for Bethlehem as it begins its next 125 years, but I am sure our Lord Jesus Christ together with the Spirit will make those plans known to us.
