Lutherans Restoring Creation

In honor of Earth Day on April 22nd, our Mission of the Month for April is Lutherans Restoring Creation (LRC). lutheransrestoringcreation.org

Lutherans Restoring Creation is a grassroots movement promoting care for creation in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. As our committee discussed possible creation care organizations to support for April, we were drawn to Lutherans Restoring Creation, in part, because of the many resources they offer individuals, congregations, & church leaders. We encourage you to visit their website, (above) to find book recommendations, worship resources, devotional material, webinar links, etc.

We also invite you to consider joining Lutherans Restoring Creation for their 2023 Earth Day Virtual Worship. The Rev. Dr. R. Guy Erwin, president of United Lutheran Seminary and former bishop of the Southwest California Synod, will provide the sermon. The service will be published on the YouTube channel for Lutherans Restoring Creation on April 22nd.
